Six Stars of Quality

All-American Care centers are focused on outcomes and not on departmental assignments. Instead of departments, outcome delivery teams are focused on accomplishing the Six Stars of Quality Program.

The Dorotha C. White Foundation endorses better performing nursing homes by a six star criteria. Each star represents a component of quality that is annually graded by the Foundation. The Foundation rating consists of the following criteria:

  • First Star of Quality – Infection-free, clean environment, with outstanding food and service
  • Second Star of Quality – Use of models of care for clinical practice
  • Third Star of Quality – Staff morale building and community involvement
  • Fourth Star of Quality – Use of health preservation programs
  • Fifth Star of Quality – Use of disease prevention programs
  • Sixth Star of Quality – Use of care and discharge planning to pursue outcomes
